Meet The Face Behind Steam Digital
I’m Gavin Wigg, proud owner of Steam Digital.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
Before the launch of Steam Digital, I worked with four separate employers. However, each of them showed me that I performed far better as an independent contractor than an employee. They helped me discover that producing projects and working directly with clients was what my heart desired. In fact, Attorney Scott Hoy, Taekwondo Instructor Larry Hoover, Surgeon Kirke Wheeler, and my father all helped me start my business on the right foot.
After an eleven-year journey as an employee, I decided to set out on my own and build my 3D animation and video production brand. I introduced Steam Digital to the market around twelve years ago, and it has taken my creative ability to new heights, added to my expertise in the visual marketing industry, and made me proud.
However, not everything was smooth sailing when I first started my solo career. I would panic at the end of every project wondering where I’d get my next paycheck from. But, with continuous efforts to treat clients with respect and offer fresh new ideas, I built a strong reputation. Now, it consistently brings me clients determined for high-quality visuals.
After meeting with a client I set my goals for perfection while achieving their requests, and this I feel separates me from the rest. At the same time, quality of work, attention to cutting edge trends, and never breaking client budgets have landed my business a special place in many clients’ hearts.
My favorite part of every project we take on is hearing about the results we brought the client. To ensure other clients experience the same success, we focus on measurable results for clients, introduce new creative visuals, keep up with technology, and use the latest software and video equipment.
On the other hand, the most rewarding part about my work is getting to do what I love while still being able to provide for my family of five. It makes working those occasional seventy-hour workweeks worthwhile and exciting. However, when I find the workweek getting to me, my wife and kids help keep me sane.
Apart from spending time with my family, I like to engage in a couple of hobbies in my downtime. I love leading and playing in funk, rock, or big bands after work, since trumpet playing is my real passion. I also support local charities and autism research with my "alter-ego", Wilbur the Coyote, who is a robot that reads at schools and entertains kids and families. The rest of my free time I enjoy time with my family and friends.
I have enjoyed sharing my story and the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
